Last night was unfortunately the last time we will ever order from Namaste India. I had a very weird and uncomfortable handoff that took ages, the delivery guy wouldn't leave. He asked me to check the order to see if something was missing (there was, but this is always the case with Namaste India). He was then about to step into my apartment (???) as I checked the order but cut him short when I already found out what was missing. (it's always the samosas or naan) He proceeded to steal my private phone number from the delivery note (I thought he was noting the number of the restaurant to call about the missing item). He then left his bag and phone and went down to pick up his bike battery as if he were planning a longer stay (I didn't understand anything of what he was telling me, so I thought he went to check if the item was in another bag or something). He comes back up with it, but then my cat escapes and I have to rush down to get her. The delivery guy stays waiting (for what?!) by my, now wide open, apartment, as I get my cat I have to tell him to just get out, leave, now. He then texted me on WhatsApp soon after having left. I feel my privacy has been jeopardized and I don’t feel safe knowing the guy has my number, full name, address and the look of my hallway. I'm just so glad I don't live alone, his behavior was so off. Beyond that, this happens with every single order: - Food takes between 1.5-2 hours to be delivered. Sometimes it's been 2 hours and they've completely forgotten the order, and you have to call the restaurant to remind them. - Extra items (samosas, naan etc) are missing the majority of the time. We eventually had to start adding a reminder in the notes so they wouldn't forget. They still did. (Solution offered: “you’ll get them for free next time”. So we have to spend more money with them and trust they can manage to give us what we ordered next time, and that they won't use any creepy delivery guys) I love their food, but our patience was already running short from the points mentions. This uncomfortable experience I had with the delivery guy now was just the last straw. Also - no compensation offered for any of the mentioned points after having gotten in touch with the restaurant about it. TL;DR - Avoid for your safety & sanity.
